The Bus2Grid Initiative (B2G) is a membership service which helps school districts leverage V2G revenue opportunities and secure grant funding to electrify their fleets. B2G grew from a coalition of school districts, utilities, school bus manufacturers and energy leaders committed to a green energy future.

Clean the air children breathe in & around school buses. Eliminate greenhouse gas emissions from school buses.
And supply stored green energy to the grid at peak usage times.
B2G unlocks energy storage capacity of electric school bus batteries and helps school bus fleet electrification within an overall energy savings and emissions reduction plan for its members. Bus fleet electrification in combination with onsite solar production can create massive energy savings for school districts. The goal of the Bus2Grid program is to use electric school bus batteries to provide at least 20MWh of renewable energy storage by the end of 2023.
The initiative also conducts bid processes and drafts funding mechanisms for members to purchase electric school buses at a cost equal to buying diesel.
